C-bed is proud to form part of the successful Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm project, which is delivered four months ahead of plan.
In this video released by the Veja Mate Offshore Project GMBH, the project owners acknowledge the cooperation with their contractors:
“To achieve a fast power production, the Wind Innovation is acting as accommodation vessel for the offshore commissioning crew. This setup has proven to be fast and efficient and power can be produced within 24 hours of installation.”
“The successful completion of this project can only be achieved through a collaborative and open relationship between our teams and our contractors.”
Supporting installation and commissioning phases
For C-bed, the Veja Mate project kicked-off during January 2017 and the project is expected to reach its completion within the next month. C-bed will thus have assisted in the full installation and commissioning phase of all 67 offshore wind turbines located in the German North Sea.
Accommodation of 105 passengers
Wind Innovation is the result of the extensive conversion of a former seismic survey vessel into a floating four-star hotel and project basecamp.
She holds a Comfort Class 3 certification and was recently further upgraded to accommodate an additional 15 passengers. She now offers accommodation for a total 105 passengers in 80 cabins. With this high number of hotel beds, Wind Innovation distinguishes herself from ordinary Service Operation Vessels, which normally only have hotel facilities for approx. 40 passengers.
