In 2008, CBED became the world’s first shipowning company offering dedicated services to the offshore wind industry. Over the years, the gained experiences have formed into the walk-to-work vessel, Wind Innovation. Today, Wind Innovation stands out in the offshore market with a comprehensive 80 single cabins and option of a total 105 guests comfortably living on board.
The customised design for efficient helicopter arrivals, sheltered storage facilities, offices and meeting rooms enables seamless operations. However, the ship design also balances leisure time activities with integrated cinema, fitness room and TV lounge and game room options for lengthy projects away from home.

Completing an extensive contract with Ørsted on the world’s largest wind farm, Hornsea Two, CBED will move on to a new project on the DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms in the German North Sea in June this year. With the operations and maintenance service contract with DanTysk Sandbank Offshore Wind GmbH & Co. New Project and New Look for CBED and Wind Innovation
Completing work on the Hornsea One offshore wind farm last month, CBED has now moved on to commence work on Hornsea Two for the second part of the double contract with Ørsted to support offshore wind developments in the UK. Providing the daily logistics and accommodation for the Hornsea Two offshore workers becomes CBED’s 28th individual offshore project. The Hornsea Two project runs well into 2022.
