We have once again sent our DP2 walk-to-work accommodation vessel, Wind Innovation, away on a new long-term project.
Since the end of July 2019, Wind Innovation has been out on a new mission. This time she is located in the German sector of the North Sea to service the installation and commissioning of the Trianel Windpark Borkum II offshore wind farm.
Serving as project base camp, C-bed helps ensure that the project is carried out in an efficient and timely manner.
We are pleased that C-bed continues to be the preferred choice for offshore accommodation. Since taking delivery of Wind Innovation in 2016, we have continuously felt a strong demand from clients due to her superior operational weather workability, 80 single cabins for technicians, unique cargo handling setup with a sheltered cargo area and our best-in-class accommodation services,” says Managing Director, Jesper Nielsen.
Annual power generation of 800 GWh
The project includes installation and commissioning of 32 6.2 MW turbines which together will have a capacity of around 200 MW and an annual power generation of 800 GWh. All foundation structures have been installed and the first turbines are already standing.
The new wind farm is located 45 kilometers off the coast of Borkum, Germany close to the already 40 operating turbines from the first stage of Trianel Windpark Borkum.
C-bed will be using Eemshaven as base port for crew change and loading of fresh supplies throughout the project.
25 offshore projects create market leading solutions
This is C-bed’s 25th offshore project in Northern Europe since we pioneered the field back in 2008. With our 11 years of experience in offshore wind accommodation and project support, we continue to sustain our pioneering spirit and profound understanding of the field that we are jointly developing with our partners.
