Starting Q1 2017, C-bed’s floating hotel Wind Ambition is assigned for a new extensive offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea.
Wind Ambition will assist during installation and commissioning of 70 offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 350MW. C-bed has recently successfully participated in another offshore project in the Baltic Sea – the Baltic II wind farm that was commissioned in 2015.
New client requesting full range of C-bed services
On this 2017-project, C-bed Floating Hotels is delighted to be welcoming a new client into our portfolio of offshore partners. We will do everything possible to meet all requirements associated to both the project- and 4-star hotel facilities on board.
In particular, the client has been requesting information on Wind Ambition’s ability to offer a complete offshore base camp for their engineers, technicians and other offshore workers. Among other things, this includes full and easy access to container deck and workshop facilities from the boat landing.
Furthermore, it has been important to C-bed to demonstrate high performance internet services in all Wind Ambition’s 137 single cabins and in the office facilities. Thereby, considering both our guests’ leisure time activities and e.g. conference calls with onshore-located colleagues.
During the contract period, C-bed will be using Sassnitz, Germany as base port for crew change and loading of fresh supplies.
