As of 10 January 2017, C-bed’s floating hotel, Wind Ambition, is in full operation on a new offshore wind farm project in the Baltic Sea.
C-bed is part of the installation and commissioning phases at the Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm, which is located in the German part of the Baltic Sea. This new project encompasses establishment of 70 offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 350 MV when fully commissioned.
Along with workshop, storage, and office facilities, Wind Ambition provides accommodation for up to 150 persons in single cabins throughout the project period.

This new project represents C-bed’s 19th individual offshore wind project. Thereby, the Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm becomes part of a unique track record of offshore logistic projects across Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark.

78,833 successfully completed CTV transfers
The many offshore technicians on board Wind Ambition are completing the daily shuttle from our floating hotel to their workplaces via crew transfer vessels (CTVs).
Safe and easy CTV transfers from the purpose built boat landing is an integral part of C-bed’s services. In fact, since the founding of C-bed in 2008, we have completed no less than 78,833 CTV transfers on all projects. With zero incidents recorded.
Initiating yet another large-scale project, we are destined to surpass the 80,000 mark soon.
During this project, bed will using both Sassnitz (Germany) as base ports for crew change and loading of fresh supplies.
